After 22 years at Fairview, there aren’t many people who know the farm better than Donald Mouton! Over the years, Donald has been involved in everything from livestock farming to vineyard management and beyond. As an avid mountain biker, trail runner, and all-around outdoorsman, he possesses a vast knowledge of the indigenous fauna and flora found on the farm and the greater Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve. Now, for the first time, Donald wants to share his expertise with the extended Fairview family!
Join Farmer Donald on one of his newly curated farm tours aimed at giving you an educational Fairview experience. We’re starting with two tours, with more to be added soon!
First up is the Goat Tour, where you’ll meet our world-famous goat herd and get an insider’s view of the daily workings of our goat farm. The tour includes a choice of either a snack pack (perfect for the young ones) or a cheese tasting afterwards.
Also available is the Guided Mountain Walk, a scenic 5km trail on Paarl Mountain with Farmer Donald, followed by an informal Standard Wine & Cheese tasting at the Fairview Tasting Room.
